Why Compass Soap Co.
What Makes Compass Candles Different
Coconut Soy Wax + Wooden Wick Crackle
Our coconut-soy wax blend is made for a clean, even burn, so the candle performs as good as it smells. The wooden wick adds a soft, cozy crackle as it burns, bringing another sensory layer to the scent and glow.
PHTHALATE-FREE FRAGRANCE
We use fragrance oils formulated without phthalates, chemicals sometimes used to help fragrance last longer. Because certain phthalates have been linked to health concerns, we choose to leave them out.

Here's Why Customers Keep Coming Back
Prompt delivery as per normal! Now loving the candles - great scents, just enough without being too strong. Nicely balanced. These will be part of my replenish orders going forward. Thanks for the great products and customer service!
We love all of our Compass Soap products and are trying the candle for the first time. The candle feels very high end with its sleek black canister and wooden wick. We love the Seattle rain scent as well!
This has become our favorite candle! We find it to be a very relaxing scent.
These candles smell amazing! Very light and refreshing scents! I can’t wait to light them for the holidays! They make a great stocking stuffer!
How It Works
As the wooden wick burns, it creates a melt pool across the coconut-soy wax, releasing fragrance gradually into the room while adding its signature soft crackle. Giving the candle enough time to create an even melt pool, especially on the first burn, helps prevent tunneling and makes better use of the wax throughout the life of the candle.

BRING IN THE OUTDOORS
Some places stay with you: the smell of evergreens, rain settling over a town, mist rising near moving water. Our candles are inspired by those moments, turning scent, glow, and the crackle of a wooden wick into an easy way to bring a little of that feeling into your home.
Questions, answered.
We chose a coconut-soy wax blend for its clean, smooth burn and even melt pool. It burns with minimal soot when properly maintained and releases fragrance gradually as the wax warms, giving you a consistent scent experience from burn to burn.
Beyond carrying the flame, a wooden wick creates the subtle crackling sound that has become part of the Compass candle experience. Think fireplace energy, just considerably smaller.
A wick that gets too long can create an oversized or unstable flame. Trim it to about ¼ inch before each burn and remove the burnt, loose portion of the wood before relighting.
Wax develops a burn pattern. Letting the first melt pool reach the edges of the container helps prevent a narrow tunnel from forming down the center and allows you to use more of the candle over time.
Let the wax develop an even melt pool, but don't leave a candle burning indefinitely. Industry guidance recommends generally limiting candle burns to no more than four hours at a time and allowing the candle to cool before relighting.
Each 3.7 oz Compass Candle provides approximately 20+ hours of burn time when properly cared for. Keeping the wooden wick trimmed and limiting each burn to a few hours at a time will help you get the most from your candle.
Stop once roughly ½ inch of wax remains in the bottom of the container. Continuing to burn a container candle with very little wax remaining can overheat the vessel.
